hello! i’m layla.
I’m an artist born and raised in Gilbert, Arizona. I am currently a freshman at Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) studying painting and Advertising and Branding. I have been creating art ever since I was a little kid, but it wasn’t until the end of high school when I realized this was the path for me. I can confidently say I have no regrets.
I typically paint originals on canvas with oil paint as my main medium. However, my curiosity entices me to widen my horizons with other mediums as well. I am always excited to learn and grow which passionately fuels my enthusiasm to create and add to the world.
Outside of creating, I love to spend my time playing the piano and guitar, staying active, traveling, being in nature, and spending time with my family. Friday nights usually entail a serious movie night or board games at dinner.
